Amber L. Wright is compelling, thoughtful, and so relatable, she is that home-girl who is speaking to you directly from her own personal stories, and engaging life experiences.
There is beauty and power that comes in knowing who you are, loving that person, and standing in your gifts. As Amber Wright gracefully explains in her book, through her very detailed writing style.
I loved the humor and realness in each chapter description, serving a clear and concise road map to personal development and spiritual growth. Wright plunges right in with helping the reader navigate through each chapter with 10 practical life lessons:
Lesson One: Figure out what you want, Lesson Two: Get Your Goals so your life won’t suck, Lesson Three: The Money Talk have it now or pay for it later, Lesson Four: Don’t Do It Alone Find Your People, Lesson 5: A Life Without Boundaries is No Way to Live.
I could relate to this book on so many different levels from being a first generation college student, through deciding on making critical career choices, to making money management decisions, my unbreakable faith, and so much more!
Amber Wright has a brilliant way of really capturing the main lessons in life. I simply adored with how each chapter would end with a main life lesson. One of my favorite chapters is the one about “Letting Go.” I practice the art of letting go, almost every spring/summer season, as a way to declutter my life. The main life lesson from that chapter is: “Let Go of the things that no longer serve you. Let go of the people. Let Go of the places. Let go of the things.
This maybe very difficult, but totally worth the time and the effort to truly let go! Another one of my favorite “Aha,” moments as Wright so eloquently describes is: The life of your dreams, won’t happen on it’s own. You first need the courage to dream it. Then find a way to make it happen. Can we talk? is filled with value packed gems, one note worthy book that I will treasure for a lifetime. Consequently, I will continue to return to this well-written book as a life reference and share it with others in my circle and around the world!
