It seems like it was just yesterday that l was reading “school’s out” kind of posts, now it’s back to school already. I am so glad l don’t have to deal with any of that, l don’t know how you moms and dads can handle it..Kudos to you!!! 🙂
I always thought summer was too short (lol). I was shopping yesterday at Walmart and noticed the back to school supplies on full display. I love this time of the year cause I can stock up on home office supplies and not break the bank. Your tips are great especially the planning the wardrobe and easing them back into the sleep schedules.
These are great tips. I remember when they had tax free week in NYC. Now it’s standard, but it definitely helped when saving money for school clothes. Can’t believe it’s almost back to school time.
Great tips. I am all about.picking the clothes out ahead of time! I do all my shopping on tax free weekend. I promise it is not as stressfull as is it sounds.
Great tips! As a homeschooler, we don’t have to do all of these. But we still like to have a plan, goals and a schedule. It’s so hard to get back into routine after having so much fun 🙂
I hope we can get to Delaware this year to do some back to school shopping to save on the taxes. I am going back to school myself – last year of law school – and I need all the stuff the kids need!
Tip #6 was definitely my favorite! Having a theme for the year gives your family something to always go back to during the school year. Thanks for the great tips.
Awesome tips for back-to-school. Whenever this time of year rolls around, I always remember my days in school and my mother taking me and my siblings shopping. I always loved getting new outfits for school! LOL
I am in Atlanta and its the second week of school for most of my friends with children. I think Tax Free Weekend is a lifesaver I loved it when I was growing up and in college save so much money shopping.
While I don’t live in ATL, your tips are great for all of us dealing with back to school. My son doesn’t go back till Labor Day so I have a little time. Happy Back to School! Thanks for the tips!
Olivia, I would have loved for Atlanta to go back to school after Labor Day that is the traditional way of going back to school. We started school at the end of July!
Tonia, moving the bedtime schedule is the most important part for the children before the school year begins, and it helps with that massive adjustment period from summer to fall!
We just went through the task of updated medical records. Due to our son’s allergies we have to make sure the school nurse has everything that’s up-to-date.
It feels like I was just let out for the summer last month and now school is starting up again! I’m just glad it’s my final year of college and the beginning of school supply deals!
