Success leaves clues. Everything you need to be successful is already around you and inside of you.
Whew! I can’t believe that it has been two busy and hectic weeks since Blogalicious9 Miami #Tribe Up. When I returned from Miami, I had to immediately return to mom duties. The demands to fulfill my obligations with school fundraisers, homework, cooking family meals, and spending time with the little kingdom after being away for a long weekend.
However, I knew in my heart that this Blogalicious9 conference would be so much more than the average blogging conference. The way that I packed my bags seemed different this year. I only packed things to work out in to really burn a sweat and release all of life’s stressors! I found myself really trusting in God, and asking HIM to guide my steps on this journey.
I had a little anxiety leaving my husband with the kids for the almost second time. But I knew that this major investment would benefit everyone at the end of the day. That moment when I began feeling overwhelmed with life, was definitely an understatement before leaving for the conference. I just needed a safe place to take a moment to breathe. I had to find the directions in life that made the most sense, and to re-center my spirit and soul.
I felt abundantly blessed to meet up with good friends, who had their own dynamic tribes, and to really #TribeUp! Stacey Ferguson AKA #Justice Fergie and the awesome Blogalicious9 team did an amazing job with everything, and they always go over, and beyond to cultivate the best experience for everyone at the conference. This is the most fabulous cyber family reunion of all time!
We were faced with so many challenges, natural disasters, disturbing political climate, and personal road blocks before the big weekend that I praised God (literally) that Miami was still standing to attend this epic event!
I remember that I watched the news about all the various hurricanes reigning havoc all over Florida and the Caribbean. I could not believe the massive levels of devastation that took over during those prayerful weeks. My heart ached for those that lost their homes, clothes on their backs, and some lost loved ones too.
And Girl, during this time I began feeling broken in my own personal life, marriage, business, and that moment where I just needed to step away to really understand the plan that God had for my life. I had this heartfelt desire to take my blog/business to a deeper level. I wanted to make a huge impact on the women that I served, and to do it in the way that is becoming to God and HIS beloved son Jesus.
I knew that this prayer that I prayed over, and over before leaving for Miami had to be answered in order to move forward with this blessed work. I totally believe that blogging is a ministry and ministry is blogging! The theme of Blogalicious9 was #Tribe Up. I could totally identify with this theme because I love the concept of building community and sisterhood to help develop as a better person and a flourishing business woman.
Blogalicious9 has the powerful way of bringing together the most diverse culture of 300 or more women and a few special guys on the planet. These women are standing in their truth, following their heart, walking in their purpose, taking bold leaps of faith, and changing the world. The women that I had the pleasure and honor of being in the company with ranged from authors, business owners, medical professionals, public relation experts, fitness gurus, video marketers, pageant queen title holders, influencers, mothers, and lifetime friends.
Each woman had their own tribe, and own story of how they made the choice to “get into the room,” and “make a space,” for their authentic voice, to speak loudly and share with others in the community.
The women had their own individual point of greatness, but they all uplifted, encouraged, and inspired, cried, laughed, and loved one another.
These graceful shoulders of all the outrageously brave, and super courageous women were made stronger by being at the Blogalicous9.
I felt totally honored to be able to connect with flawless brands face-to-face and really get know the background stories of some of the wonderful sponsors represented like GoRVing, Kia, Hanes, Change the Cycle, and The American Heart Association.
I could actually feel the presence of God, and my beloved ancestors as each woman spoke, shared stories, and we broke bread during every meal. Also, sharing heartfelt discussions before, during, and after workshops. Hotel room conversations were the best! I could feel all the women being empowered and poured into with the most abundant love and support, so that our lives would never be the same after leaving this blessed space.
The tear-filled hugs from women that I only met online, but finally had that epic moment to truly embrace them is priceless. I am truly humbled and beyond grateful that Blogalicious9 is not just a conference but everyone involved is my family.
These were perhaps some of the most memorable moments that I had in real-life in a very long time! By the end of Blogalicious9 I did not want to leave Miami and my beautiful tribe. At the same time, I could not wait to share all the special gems with my community, and spread the #Tribe Up love! We are all Queens and carry our crowns with grace and everlasting mercy.
