MW: When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
LT: I have been a writer all of my life. I started writing songs when I was in the 7th grade. I still remember it to this day. It was about my favorite color Blue! LOL! But writing on social media in the last few years has been extremely therapeutic for me.
MW: How did you come up with the title for your latest book?
LT: Monday Morning Meditations came from me doing Facebook Posts on Monday Mornings. I would write to God my exact feelings for that morning and I would share it on social media.
MW: How long does it take to write a book?
LT: I wrote Monday Morning Meditations in approximately 4 months but the book I am working on now is taking me a little bit longer because it has more content in it.
MW: Where do you get your information or ideas for your book?
LT: I get inspiration from observing people and also being inspired from my own experiences in life.
MW: What do you like to do when you are not writing?
LT: I love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
MW: What does your family think of your writing?
LT: My family has been extremely supportive through this process and they are very thankful for this time in my life.
MW: What is the most surprising thing you have learned in creating your book?
LT: My own abilities to focus on writing while being a full time healthcare trainer as well as a full time mother to my 14 year old daughter. Women are great multi-taskers but at times it requires extreme focus in order to get the book finished.
MW: What do you think makes a good book?
LT: A theme of sorts! If it is a self help or inspiration book-the theme has to come through in the writing. If it is a novel-the storyline needs to be clearly depicted.
MW: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
LT: I wanted to be a world renowned singer. I still sing and that is what most people know me from but at this appointed time, God is downloading books to me so I must get that content out. I will always sing and I still want to do it professionally.
MW: What three words will describe you for 2016?
LT: Motivated, focused and abundant!
