The Southern Blogger Impact Awards were founded by Arnitris Strong of Blessed be the Tie to identify, highlight and celebrate the best and brightest bloggers the South has to offer. When I found out about the Southern Blogger Impact Awards I became very excited about bloggers in the south being acknowledged for all of their hard work and dedication to the craft of blogging and social media. I could not believe that the opportunity for bloggers to have an awards platform that would help to propel them forward in the blogging industry.
The Southern Blogger Impact Awards had several categories and nominees during the awards season. The categories included: Lifestyle, Mommy, Tech/Business, Food, Travel Blog, Fashion, Magazine, Web Design, Founder’s Choice, Best New blog, and the surprise nomination of the evening Best Supportive Blogger.
The Runners up of the Awards did not go away empty-handed, they received an e-book from Yalanda Lattimore from Dryer Buzz. The Best new blog received a prize pack of a signature logo design and premium Word Press website design.
I’m like most of us I don’t always have time to really be into awards, and even when I do I never expect that I will be the actual recipient of an award, so when I found out that I received the “Most Supportive Blogger,” Award it really humbled my spirit. I felt very honored to be recognized by my peers as a Southern Blogger. I say that very lightly because I am originally from Bridgeport, Michigan and Atlanta, Georgia is my adult transplanted home, where I am growing learning as a woman, mother, wife, Pinterest Marketing Strategy coach, aspiring speaker, and Mommy Lifestyle blogger.
I believe that one of my gifts is being in support of others, encouraging others to live a positive life, and to be present in each moment everyday. My whole life I was told to always have a good work ethic, and to never give up, and to put my education first because that is something that belongs to me and cannot be taken away, but I can only build upon it. I feel that blogging is an extension of my educational background and experience. The eminent joy of growing into a more confident writer, with the uncompromising willingness to strengthen my commitment not only to support bloggers but to continue to share valuable content with small business owners, creatives, and mompreneurs.
The best thing is to stay focused with walking in my purpose and to realize that the work is not easy but totally worth it!
