Things have become a bit more Pinteresting since I started my visual exploration on Pinterest. Pinterest has changed a lot over the years. Pinterest allows a blogger like me to work with affiliate links, sell and market products and services, connect with other great pinners with collaborations on group boards, and recently afforded the opportunity to work with brands and monetize my Pinterest page. During this past week I could not get ths constant thought out of my mind so I decided to write about it. I had to write about how Pinterest has changed my approach to blogging. Which Pinterest has truly changed so many various things in terms of my thinking from personal, to business, to writing on my own blog Mother of the World. I cannot believe the phenomenal changes that have taken place just by focusing on Pinterest as my number one social media platform. I love Pinterest because it is like having a consistent scrapbook of pins from the time that I created my first board, until this day with over 5.8K followers and counting on my Pinterest page. I had to think that everything began with the overwhelming need to have a creative outlet during the pregnancy of my daughter.
Pinterest has opened up so many doors in different ways as a blogger and totally has changed my approach to the blogging industry. I have the desire to not only produce valuable content on Mother of the World, but to encourage engagement through my pins on Pinterest. I love to have pinnable images that resonate with my audience and help to build a healthy community.
I think that so many bloggers and non-bloggers sleep on Pinterest as a viable social media platform. The take away is that it is not an overnight success, and to see profitable results takes time and effort on the part of you as the dedicated pinner and the consistency of your presence on Pinterest.
Believe me, I get it because as a busy mom, wife, and mompreneur I only have so many hours in the day and so many days in the week. However, through Pinterest I realized who my target audience is and that is a busy stay at home mom, work at home mom, or mom working her 9-5 trying to find the best meal plan for the family, or staying up to date with the latest fashion trends, or looking for personal development strategies to improve her life!
These are women that are just like me, and want to capture everything visually with a couple clicks of a button to satisfy their needs for the day. That is why it is important for me as a blogger to not only be a good story-teller, but at the same time be an exceptional pinner!
By the time you leave my Pinterest page and blog the information that I share with you should be valuable, helpful, informational, personal, and relatable across the board. My content from blog to Pinterest page should magnify the messages that I am trying to send of empowerment and living your best life possible without any regrets, and in the same breath making your quality of life easier by reading and pinning fabulous content.
I am cyber focused on my blog for the end of the year, and I have set other projects on the side to really produce great Pinterest friendly content. I am beyond grateful to share with my readers and Pinterest coaching clients the priceless tips and tricks to enhance their journey on Pinterest.
I am super passionate about this social media platform, and above all purposeful about writing articles for my growing blog. I think that sometimes it is important to go back to the roots and continue to plant a healthy tree, and for me my tree begins with writing and being a visual learner.
